We are asking participants to support this retreat with a financial contribution of $1695 - $1199, which covers tuition, 7 nights lodging and 21 meals. We hope contributions will average $1345. Contributions higher than the minimum level will be used to offer scholarships to those otherwise unable to attend. To date, we have been able to award over $15,000 in aid to participants at our events.

Refund Policy: Full refund for all money paid, less a $50 processing fee, is available upon request prior to July 1, 2007. After July 1, 2007, full refund less $200 (to cover costs associated with arrangements that have been made) is available.

Payment schedule: You may either pay the full contribution at the time of registration or pay a deposit of $499 with your registration and the balance by May 15, 2007. Payments after the initial registration can be made online similarly to how the registration payment was made. If a different timing for the payments is needed (or you prefer not to pay online) please contact Jane Connor at jconnor@binghamton.edu or 607-797-2179.

Financial Assistance: The organizers of the New York Intensive are committed to making training as widely available as possible and welcoming people from all backgrounds, including those with economic challenges. We will be using contributions greater than the minimum to make this event as inclusive as possible. In the past our scholarships have mostly been in the $200 - $500 range. Applications for assistance may be requested from Martha Lasley, Chair of the Financial Assistance Committee, at Martha@leadershipthatworks.com. Scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria: financial need, potential contribution for spreading NVC and commitment to working with currently underserved populations. Applications for financial assistance should be submitted by May 15, 2007. Applicants will receive responses by June 1, 2007.

Volunteers: There are many ways that participants can support this event being as inclusive, hospitable, inspiring and meaningful as possible. We welcome your input, assistance and contributions – which also serve to keep expenses down and increase affordability.
